Northern Mexico Escorted Tour
Mexico, an increasingly popular tourist destination, which has remained unexplored. Our expedition will take you to the north, to the least visited parts of this interesting country. The journey begins in the City of Mexico with its colonial architecture.
We visit a place of pilgrimage Guadalupe and mystical Teotihuacan with its third-largest pyramid in the world. We're going to the capital of the state of Baja California Sur, La Paz, and tour a desert bordering an ocean. We return to the coast of the Sea of Cortez and continue our adventure in the 1.800 meters deep, Copper Canyon. There we visit the historic towns dating the famous Zorro and alpine villages of Tarahumara Indians.
Mexico City - La Paz - Los Cabos - Los Mochis - El Fuerte - Creel - Batopilas - Chihuahua
Day 1 Mexico City
Welcome at the airport in Mexico City. Transfer and accommodation. Overnight in Mexico City
Day 2 Mexico City
Visit the Square of the Three Cultures, and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Transfer to Teotihuacan and explore: Pyramid of the Sun, Pyramid of the Moon, the temple of Winged Serpent, The Avenue of the Dead. Overnight in Mexico City.
Day 3 Mexico City
Panoramic drive to the Zocalo. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and Presidential Palace, where we can admire the frescoes of Diego Rivera. A visit to the Museum of Anthropology, which contains the world's largest collection of artifacts from the pre-Columbian cultures. Back to the hotel and overnight in Mexico City. Optional: Mexican Evening on the Garibaldi Square.
Day 4 Mexico City - La Paz
Transfer to the airport and flight to the Pacific coast, to the city of La Paz. Explore the city. Accommodation and overnight in La Paz.
Day 5 La Paz
We visit the fabulously beautiful bays and ocean beaches. The opportunity to swim in the Sea of ??Cortez. Overnight in La Paz.
Day 6 La Paz - Todos Santos
Drive along the Pacific coast, where the vast sandy desert meets the ocean. A visit to Todos Santos, which is a green oasis by sea full of flowers. Visit the famous and iconic Hotel California. Accommodation in Todos Santos.
Day 7 Todos Santos - Los Cabos
Explore the lovely Cabo San Lucas, including the exclusive Pedregal neighborhood. Rest on the golden beach with stunning views of the rock formations; El Arco. Night out in one of the nightclubs. Accommodation in Los Cabos. Optional: opportunity to rent kayaks, snorkeling and relaxing on the Lovers Beach.
Day 8 Los Cabos - La Paz - Los Mochis
Drive through the beautiful rocky desert to La Paz. We take the night ferry across the Sea of ??Cortez cruising to Los Mochis. In the morning we land on the west coast of Mexico. Overnight on board.
Day 9 Los Mochis - El Fuerte
Drive through the scenic mountains from the coastal town of Los Moches to El Fuerte. Overnight in El Fuerte.
Day 10 El Fuerte
Stroll the streets of El Fuerte, which offers beautiful colonial architecture and rich history (Legend of Zorro). Overnight in El Fuerte. Optional: kayaking on the tropical river.
Day 11 Copper Canyon
El Fuerte begins our trip of few days in the Copper Canyon, which its size and depth is much bigger than generally known Colorado Canyon. Some walls reach a staggering depth of 1.800 meters. From the windows of the train car can admire the most beautiful section of the route between El Fuerte and Temoris. Trekking to the settlements of the high-altitude runners, the Tarahumara Indians.
Day 12 Creel
Transfer to Creel. Explore the city and surrounding areas. Stop by the local pub with music. Overnight in Creel.
Day 13 Creel
Pay visit to the Raramuri Indians, some of them still live in caves, and learn about their customs. Overnight in Creel.
Day 14 Creel - Batopilas
Discover the picturesque landscapes on the way to Batopilas. Sightseeing and accommodation in Batopilas.
Day 15 Batopilas
Extremely scenic trekking from Batopilas to colonial Mision de Satavo. Overnight in Batopilas.
Day 16 Batopilas - Creel
Transfer to Creel. Night out at the local bar. Overnight in Creel.
Day 17 Creel - Chihuahua - Mexico City
Drive through the desert areas of the Chihuahua. Transfer to the airport in Chihuahua. Flight to Mexico City for the night.
Day 18 Mexico City
Transfer to the airport and depart Mexico.
