Mexico - Belize Escorted Tour
This 14 day expedition will take you to two interesting countries: Mexico and Belize. We will be visiting the colonial cities and the pre-Hispanic ruins of the Mayan civilization.
We will live in bungalows right on the beach, swim in a cave filled with water and the turquoise sea on the fabulous islands of the Caribbean. Excursion by the motor boats on the lagoon will be an opportunity for great photo shoots of flamingos.
Cancun - Playa del Carmen - Chichen Itza - Merida - Uxmal - Tulum - San Pedro - Caye Caulker - Chetumal - Bacalar
Day 1 Cancun - Playa del Carmen
Arrival in Cancun. Then a short drive to Playa del Carmen. Overnight in Playa del Carmen.
Day 2 Playa del Carmen - Chichen Itza - Merida
Transfer throughout the Yucatan jungle to the world-famous pre-Columbian Mayan city of Chichen Itza. Visit the El Castillo Pyramid, Temple of the Jaguar, Temple of the Warriors, Group of a Thousand Columns, Great Ball Court, Cenote Sagrado and El Caracol.
Transfer to the colonial city of Merida, and stroll around the main square; the Zocalo. Visit the Governor's Palace, where we can admire the frescoes of the Cast War. Overnight in Merida.
Day 3: Merida - Celestun - Uxmal
The morning trip to the largest flamingo reserve in Mexico. Cruise by motor boats on the lagoon and watch flocks of flamingos and other waterbirds. Drive to the ancient city of Uxmal. Visit the Governor's Palace and the Magician Pyramid, Nunnery Quadrangle and climb the Great Pyramid. Overnight in Merida.
Day 4 Merida - Izamal - Tulum
Transfer to Izamal and visit the convent of San Antonio de Padua. Then, stroll the archaeological zone of Tulum, which is beautifully situated on a high cliff. Swim in the turquoise sea. Accommodation in individual bungalows right on the beach. Night out at local bar with live music. Overnight stay in Tulum.
Day 5 Tulum
Rest on the beach and swim in the warm, turquoise sea. In the afternoon swim in a cave filled with water, the so-called cenote. A night out at the bar with music. Overnight stay in Tulum.
Day 6 Tulum - San Pedro, Belize
Drive through the jungle to the border city Chetumal. Then, cross by boat to the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize. Overnight in San Pedro.
Day 7 San Pedro
Rest on the wonderful white beaches of the Caribbean. Swim in the warm, turquoise water. Dance on the beach to the live music. Overnight in San Pedro.
Day 8 San Pedro - Caye Caulker
Cruse by boat to the small coral island of Caye Caulker. Explore the Caribbean island and relax on the beach. Overnight stay in Caye Caulker.
Day 9 Caye Caulker
The expedition to the coral reefs. Snorkel from a boat and explore natural beaches. Evening at a local bar with live music. Overnight stay in Caye Caulker.
Day 10 Caye Caulker - Belize City - Chetumal, Mexico
Take a ferry to Chetumal. Transfer to Bacalar and visit the Lagoon of Seven Colors. Arrive to Playa del Carmen and accommodation. Overnight in Playa del Carmen.
Day 11 - 13 in Playa del Carmen
Rest and relax on the beach. Explore the famous Quinta Avenida. Overnight in Playa del Carmen.
Day 14 in Playa del Carmen - Cancun
Morning relax on white beaches. Transfer to the airport and depart Mexico.
