Costa Rica and Nicaragua Escorted Tour Holidays
Expedition to Central American countries: Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Both countries are characterized by extremely rich tropical wildlife. Discover the architectural and cultural pearls of these countries and various beaches of the Pacific and the Caribbean. We will trek in the National Parks, learn to surf on the board and will make cycling expedition in the jungle. Wonderful views of the volcanoes will accompany us for the most of our travel. Volunteers will be able to demonstrate their skills on the ropes over the Costa Rican forest canopy.

Day 1 San Jose, Costa Rica
Welcome at the airport in San Jose. Transfer and accommodation. Overnight in San Jose.
Day 2 Puerto Viejo
Drive to the town of Puerto Viejo. In the afternoon enjoy the Caribbean beaches. Overnight in Puerto Viejo.
Day 3 Puerto Viejo
Bike tour. Opportunity to admire the lush vegetation and exotic animals. Meet local people from the villages. Overnight in Puerto Viejo.
Day 4 Santa Elena
Drive through the green mountains of Costa Rica to the town of Santa Elena. A night out on the town. Overnight in Santa Elena.
Day 5 Santa Elena
Exploring one of the most beautiful national parks in Costa Rica; the Monteverde. The park contains the cloud forest and more than 2,500 species of plants, including hundreds of orchids and approximately 400 species of birds. Visit a coffee plantation. Overnight in Santa Elena.
Optional: Canopy tour on the ropes over the jungle
Day 6 Fortuna
Transfer among the great volcanoes to Fortuna. Visit Arenal Lake, where you can see the active volcano of the same name. Overnight in Fortuna.
Day 7 Tamarindo
Transfer to a small town on the Pacific coast, which is famous for the best surfing and one of the best beaches in Costa Rica. Rest on the beach and take a surfing lesson in Tamarindo. In winter, there is an opportunity to observe marine turtles laying eggs on the beach. Overnight in Tamarindo.
Day 8 Tamarindo
Sunbath, swim and surf in the Pacific Ocean. Overnight in Tamarindo.
Day 9 San Juan, Nicaragua
Drive to San Juan in Nicaragua. Explore this charming city. Overnight in San Juan.
Day 10 San Juan
Rest on the beach, and take a trip to the banks of the San Juan river. Swim and enjoy a picturesque landscape. Overnight in San Juan.
Day 11 Ometepe
Travel by boat to the island of Ometepe, which consists of two volcanoes and is located on the Nicaragua Lake. The Concepcion Volcano is active, reaches a height of 1,610 meters and is the highest volcano in the world located on the lake. Overnight in Ometepe.
Day 12 Ometepe
Climb to the summit of extinct volcano Maderas, which is covered with tropical rainforest. The crater contains a lagoon, where we meet many rare animals. Visit the sites of pre-Colombian civilizations. Overnight in Ometepe.
Day 13 Granada
Transfer to the amazing colonial city of Granada. Tour the historic center and the fortress of Immaculate Conception. Night out in the bar with music. Overnight in Granada.
Day 14 Granada
Visit the Masaya Volcano National Park. Trekking to the edge of crater, and observe one of the most active volcanoes in Central America. Overnight in Granada.
Day 15 Cuajiniquil, Costa Rica
Leave the beautiful city of Granada and travel to the fishermen port of Cuajiniquil in Costa Rica. Rest on the Pacific beach. Overnight in Cuajiniquil.
Day 16 San Jose
Amazing, scenic trip to San Jose. Overnight in San Jose.
Day 17 San Jose
Transfer to the airport and departure from Costa Rica.
