The wealth of the colonial Cuba was enormous, as is reflected in its superb colonial architecture. The country is also famous for having some of the best beaches and coral reefs in the Caribbean.
Havana - Soroa - Vinales - Cayo Levisa - Cienfuegos - Trinidad - Topes de Collantes - Santa Clara
Day 1. Havana
Pick up at the airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Havana.
Day 2 Havana - Soroa - Vinales
Breakfast. A trip to the western province of Cuba; Pinar del Rio and the small town of Vinales. Explore Soroa Orchid Gardens with an opportunity to bath under the Salto de Soroa waterfall. Stop at the Los Jasmines lookout and drive throughout the spectacular Valle de Vinales valley. Visit Mural de la Prehistoria. Lunch at a local restaurant. Explore Cueva del Indio cave and ride the boat on subterranean river. Transfer to and overnight in Vinales. Optional: night-out at the local night club.
Day 3 Vinales - Cayo Levisa - Havana
Breakfast. Transfer to Palma Rubia and by ferry to the Cayo Levisa island. The tiny and secluded island offers a superb white sand beach and warm turquoise waters. Lunch at the seaside restaurant. Relax and enjoy the beach till the late afternoon. Back to Havana and overnight.
Day 4 Havana
Breakfast. Sightseeing of modern Havana and Vedado district. Walk at the Capitol, the Grand Theatre, Central Park and the Avenue of Jose Marti. Opportunity to taste Hemingway's Daiquiri in La Floridita bar. Panoramic drive by the antique convertibles; seaside boulevard of Malecon, Avenida de los Presidentes and Paseo. Visit the famous hotel from 30's Hotel Nacional, and Revolution Square. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Havana Club Rum Museum. Walking colonial Havana; walk through the old streets and visit the four historic plazas; Old, Francis of Assisi, Weapons and the Cathedral. Visit the Hotel Ambos Mundos where Ernest Hemingway lived and bar Bodeguita del Medio. Overnight in Havana. Optional: night-out at the local night club (35 USD).
Day 5 Havana - Cienfuegos - Trinidad
Breakfast. Scenic drive to Cienfuegos. Lunch at a local restaurant. Sightseeing of the historical centre of Cienfuegos; including Paseo Avenue and Jose Marti park. Visit the Palacio de Valle palace, which used to belong to one of the richest man in Cuba. Transfer along the Caribbean coast to the colonial town of Trinidad. Night-out at the local social club. Overnight in Trinidad.
Day 6 Trinidad
Breakfast. Explore the town and visit the Romantic Museum. Walk the streets of the historic colonial center; Central Square, Cathedral, Casa de la Musica. Take an opportunity to purchase souvenirs at the handicraft market. Enjoy the local cocktail; La Canchanchara. Explore this lovely town full of artists workshops and galleries. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon is optional at the famous Ancon beach. Night-out at the Casa de la Musica night club. Overnight in Trinidad.
Day 7 Trinidad - Topes de Collantes
Breakfast. Drive the scenic mountain serpentines to the Topes de Collantes Park. This place is full of waterfalls, streams, caves and natural pools with the crystal clear water. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Coffee House, and learn about the history and production of coffee. Hike easy 3 kilometer trail amidst a tropical landscape and coffee plantations to the waterfall and enjoy refreshing bath. On the way back to Trinidad, stop at the lookout offering spectacular views of the mountains and Caribbean sea. Night-out at the Casa de la Trova night club. Overnight in Trinidad.
Day 8 Trinidad
Breakfast. Expedition on the antique train throughout the Valle de los Ingenios valley. Visit colonial sugar cane mansion and climb the Iznaga tower. Continue the train trip to the Hacienda Guachinango. Back to Trinidad and lunch at the restaurant. Afternoon is optional at the famous Ancon beach. Night-out at the local night club. Overnight in Trinidad.
Day 9 Trinidad - Santa Clara - Havana
Breakfast. Scenic drive to Santa Clara and visit to the Ernesto Che Guevara's mausoleum. Travel among citrus groves and plantations of tropical fruits to Havana. Diner at the local restaurant. The last night-out at the local night club. Overnight in Havana.
Day 10 Havana
Breakfast. Last look at beautiful Havana. Transfer to the airport and depart Cuba.
